Board Games and the Environment: Come and Make Connections!

Monday, March 30, from 6 to 9 p.m.
(Animation mostly in French)
With the aim of participating in social and ecological transformation in a fun way, Abl Bla Lab and the Maison du développement durable are launching a series of participatory workshops where you are invited to come and play and reflect on the links between games and the environment.
Beyond the themes of board games, what are we doing when we play Monopoly or Canopée? What values are conveyed in Mariposas? What can SkyTeam teach us about cooperation and healthy democracy?
Program for the evening:
- Conversation and networking game
- Presentation and background information
- Choice of games and tabletop gaming sessions
- Lively plenary session and transferable creative ideas
- Final game to end with a group laugh 🙂
Sample of games that will be available: Littoral, Earth, Canopée, Cascadia, Catan Energy Edition, Evolution + Climate Expansion, SkyTeam, Mariposas, WingSpan, Just One, Ever Green, In the Footsteps of Darwin, Pixies, Stories on the Menu, Hive, among others.
Registration for all: No need to be a gaming enthusiast or know the games to participate; several volunteers will be on hand to explain the games.
Participatory registration: Would you like to bring a game that is relevant to this workshop? We offer a friendly entry price. Write to us with the title, a brief overview, and the minimum and maximum number of players.
Don’t forget to bring your reusable water bottle and use active or public transportation.
