Visit La Maison du développement durable
La Maison du développement durable (MDD) is the first LEED Platinum NC certified building in Québec. It opens its doors to professional and student groups, as well as the general public. Our two guided tour formats let you discover its sustainable technologies. You’ll also see the structural decisions that set it apart from other buildings—far from marketing talk. Every tour is led by a member of our team, an expert in the building and its operations. About a hundred tours took place in 2025.
Paid Tours
Get to the heart of it
This format is for groups of 10 to 20 people: engineering or architecture students, businesses, organizations, and building professionals.
For $300, your group explores in depth the systems (ventilation, geothermal, etc.) that make MDD a replicable model of sustainability. For a group of 20, the tour comes to just $15 per person.
The tour, lasting 60 to 75 minutes, ends with a participatory discussion. You’ll leave with concrete ideas for your own projects.

For the curious general public
Are you curious and want to see behind the scenes at MDD? Every Friday at 11 a.m., we offer a free guided tour lasting about an hour for individuals and small groups (up to 10 people).
This tour gives you a glimpse of the building and its innovations, free of charge. A great opportunity to learn more about one of the largest active green walls in the world and its effect on air quality!
